Education & Workforce Evolution
The College Promise Careers Institute is an annual event hosted by foundations College Promise, Tennessee Promise and Tennessee Achieves that brought together industry leaders, experts, and professionals to discuss topics such as college and career advising, accelerated learning programs, careers for first-generation students, community engagement and career exploration.
Speakers in previous years included First Lady Jill Biden and US Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. The event was held on November 8-9, 2023 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

For its 4th year in 2023, the focus was on the impact of artificial intelligence on the job market, investing in mental health in the workplace, fostering balanced flexibility for employees, up-skilling initiatives, and building a more sustainable and diverse workforce.
In recent years, the event had been limited due to the pandemic and my client wanted this event to be more interactive and fun with an emphasis on collaboration. My role was to design and build a website that effectively communicated what this event was about not only in words but visually as well.

My design process was focused on finding ways to express the spirit and details of the event with vibrant imagery and unique interactive elements that reflected the stated goals of my client visually. This was a very fun project for which I was given a lot of creative freedom.
Communication played a pivotal role, involving close collaboration with my client's many stakeholders as the details were very fluid and changing in the weeks leading up to the event as there were several organizations involved. The event, along with the project, was a resounding success!
