There's a Pathway For Everyone

Lynchburg Beacon of Hope is a nonprofit organization based in Lynchburg, VA dedicated to transforming educational outcomes and opportunities for students in the Lynchburg City Schools. Beacon of Hope collaborates closely with schools, community partners, and families to create a network of resources and initiatives that help students to have access to college and reach their full potential.

For their new website, our focus was on enhancing its visual appeal, communicating the full scope of their mission and programs and incorporating their library of media throughout the site. We wanted to engage visitors, leaving them with a deeper understanding of Beacon of Hope's impact and bringing the organization's work to life in a dynamic way.

For this project, I applied several new and unique animations and interactions I had learned to enhance its appeal and streamline navigation. I wanted to ensure that every aspect of the website contributed to a seamless and enjoyable browsing experience and amplify Beacon of Hope's message and impact.

I feel tremendous gratitude for having the opportunity to work on this project. The technical challenges of what I wanted to create for the site pushed me to stretch my skills and creativity from which I learned a tremendous amount. And to have this experience while helping to further the cause of such a great organization, I couldn’t have asked for a more meaningful project to work on.
